Virtual Public Open House 2/9/21
SOUTHEAST METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION
TO HOLD VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSE
TO REVIEW DRAFT METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN UPDATE
The Southeast Metropolitan Planning Organization (SEMPO) is looking to the future with an update of its Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and is asking for public input and review.
The MTP sets transportation vision for regional multimodal transportation through 2045 with updates every 5 years. The MTP covers the Cape Girardeau-Jackson-East Cape Girardeau urbanized area. SEMPO wants those who live and/or work in the area to help shape the vision for the future.
The MTP includes:
- Goals, objectives, strategies and performance measures;
- Project recommendations;
- Estimated project costs;
- Potential funding sources; and
- An implementation plan.
So how can you contribute? You can attend the Virtual Open House. The Virtual Open House is a key component to making the MTP a success, and everyone is invited and encouraged to attend! The virtual meeting will provide information on the proposed plan and an opportunity to review recommendations, ask questions, and provide feedback.
The Virtual Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, 2021, with two opportunities to participate from 12:00 to 1:00 PM and 6:30-7:30 PM. Both presentations will be recorded and posted to SEMPO’s website at southeastmpo.org for those who are unable to attend live.
