About The Board Of Directors
The SEMPO Board of Directors is charged with overseeing the organization’s activities as described in the Unified Planning Work Program. The Board consists of seven voting members. In addition, there are several ex-officio (non-voting) members. The Board is aided by a Technical Planning Committee, which serves in an advisory capacity on the preparation of official documents and other technical matters. Staff support is provided by the City of Cape Girardeau.
SEMPO Board of Directors meetings are regularly scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month. Additional meetings may be held as necessary. Meetings are held at 2:00 p.m. at the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau unless otherwise noted.
